In Memory of Dr. Ward Bourdeaux

Dr. Ward Bourdeaux

We are sad to announce the passing of Dr. Ward Bourdeaux, at the age of 90, former OBGYN at Georgia Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Atlanta Women’s Health Group.

Dr. Bourdeaux proudly served in the United States Air Force before attending Tulane University in 1956 for his undergraduate and medical degrees. He completed his residency at the former Charlotte Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Bourdeaux is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He will be missed by generations of patients who he has cared for, and delivered their babies, and their baby’s babies. He practiced at Georgia OBGYN for over 53 years. His philosophy was to never rush a patient.

Here are some reviews from his former patients:

I have been going to Dr. Bourdeaux for many years. I love his caring and comfortable way of explaining
things to you and letting you know he has your best interests at heart.
K. Cochran.

Dr. Bourdeaux is my favorite doctor! A true southern gentleman.
T. Lynn.

I became a patient of Dr. Bourdeaux more years ago than I can remember. When my two daughters grew up, I referred both of them to him; there’s no higher recommendation than that!

Dr. Bourdeaux is a very caring and great doctor. I have been his patient for over 30 years.

I have been seeing Dr. B as I call him since I was in my 20’s and am now in my 50’s. Longevity speaks volumes. He is an excellent OBGYN. He is personable, kind and truly cares about his patients. I have recommended him to many over the years.

After one of the most stressful days I can remember, I was fortunate enough to end up at Dr.Bourdeaux’s office. The entire experience from the office staff, Dr. Bourdeaux’s nurse and Dr. Bourdeaux himself was of the highest caliber. I have worked in the medical field for almost 30 years and have never been treated so compassionately and thoroughly. Not to mention I got an appointment the day I called. I would give 10 stars if it was an option.

Dr. Bourdeaux will be missed by all.
In loving memory 1930-2021
