- Look up and discuss their birth plan options. Make sure they are able to accommodate your wishes as much as it’s safe to do so.
- Ask for recommendations from your general practitioner, family, and friends.
Q. When should I see an obstetrician?
A. Suspecting you are pregnant or taking a home test that comes back positive is an exciting event and you likely want to go to the doctor right away. However, most obstetricians won’t need you to come in until you are about eight weeks pregnant.
