Women who are having multiple babies, such as twins, will also need to visit their obstetrician a little more frequently.

There are steps you can take to help keep you healthy during pregnancy

If you are a high risk pregnancy, your obstetrician will provide you information on how to manage it, whether it mean more frequent doctor appointments, more tests, or even bed rest. But, if you are pregnancy and not yet high risk, there are things you can do to keep you and the baby healthy such as regular exercise, eating a balanced diet, and getting the required immunizations.
